What advice would you give to a new student who will start IIEP in the summer?

I want to say to a new student who will start IIEP in the summer that don't miss classes. Attendence is really important. If you miss class several times, you can't get a certification. Also, your grades will be bad. Attendence is related to visa. If you keep missing classes, you will be sent back to your country and might not able to study in America. If you really have to miss class, send an e-mail to teacher at least.

1. What would you like to get for your next birthday? Why?

I want to get clothes for my next birthday. I really like shopping, because I like clothes and shoes, etc. I havent' bought clothes for 3months. It's really sad. Although I want to get clothes, I think mind is the most important thing. It doesn't matter people give me a present or not, just saying "happy birthday" to me is the best present, because this means they think and care about me.

) In your opinion, what has been the best invention in your lifetime? Why?

I think cellphone is the best invention in my life time. These days, lots of people have cellphone. Can you imagine living without cellphone? I don't think so. The first reason that I choose cellphone is it's comfortable to make an appointment with someone else and change plans. Next, When I'm bored I can send a text message to my friends and chat with them. Last thing is every cellphone has electrionic phone book function, so it is comfortable to save and find someone's number.

If a friend were coming to visit Iowa City, where would you recommend your friend visit and why?

If my friend comes to Iowa City, I will recommend Lake Macbride. When I went there, the water was freezed. It was just ice. However the view was really great. I think in summer it will be much better. Trees will be green, and water will be beautiful. My friends and I are going to go there for a picnic when the weather is warmer. The best part that I liked there is, we can relax there and at the same time we can have fun. I think we can make good memories there.

Where is the best place you have visited in the US and why?

The best place I have visited in the US is Grand Canyon. I have visited there when I was 7 or 8 years old so I can't remember lots of things. First I really like animals and I saw many animals there. It was cool to watch the animals right in front of me and not in the cage. Also, I like horse back riding very much. I rode a horse there. Riding a horse and at the same time enjoying the view of Grand Canyon is one of the greatest memory. These are the reason that I choose Grand Canyon.

My favorite movie genre and why.

I like all kinds of movies. However, I prefer action, romance and horror than comedy. Action, romance and horror makes me concentrate more than comedy. I don't actually know 'Saw' is horror, if its not, it might be thriller. This movie was very interesting. I couldn't imagin the ending. Horror movies are very good to watch with friends. The reason why I like romance is it makes me feel sad or happy. The movie which is 'Something gotta give' is really good I think. This movie made me want to fall in love with someone. 'Note Book' is a movie that made me cry. I love this story.

The best advice I have ever received

I have received lots of advice. Be honest, do your best, etc. I can't decide which is the best advice. I think they are all important. People give advice because they really care about you and they want you to be better for your good. I like to receive advise. I think it make me realize things that I didn't know about me. If that thing is bad, I can fix it. The important thing is we should listen advice carefully. It might helps you :)

Would you like to be famous? Why or why not?

I don't care about being famous or not. If I am famous, I like to be famous for something what I do for living. They both have good points and bad points. Being famous is great. Because that means people admitted that you are good at something. But the bad part is it might be difficult to have a private life. Being not famous is not bad. I think doing the best you can is more important than anything. However, if I have to choose one of them, I would rather choose being not famous.

Who do you talk to when you have a problem.

When I have a problem I talk with my parents or friends. It depends on the situations.
For example, if I have a problem with my health, I talk with my parents. If I have a problem with my friends or boyfriend, I talk with my friends.
I like chatting with people, especially chatting in a cafe :)

The Giving Tree.

The giving tree is my favorate book. This book is written by Shel Siverstein.
The reason why I like this book is I felt that the content of the book was unique. Because the author described the tree as a person and talked. The second reason is the love of the giving tree was very touching.
Third is I learn that people's greed has no limits.
After reading this book I thought that I have to do better and I will do better to people who loves me :)

My name is Jung Ah Yoo and I'm from Korea :)
I'm 20 years old, my birthday is Nov.16, and I like to talk, eat, sleep, listen music, watch movies, and play pool.
My friends call me newjjung, because my last name Yoo became new ( it's easier to pronounce) , remove Ah, and Jung became jjung. :D It doesn't have any meanings.
I don't like to sleep at night. So, it's hard to get up in the morning.
